Born and raised in India, Rashmi Kumar earned her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

 

With over 13 years experience working across rehabilitation facilities, serving Wake, Durham and Chatham counties, Rashmi launched Optimize Physical Therapy with the mission to bring quality, one-on-one care directly to her patients! 

 

With a strong background in geriatric physical therapy, Rashmi earned advanced credentials, becoming a Certified Kinesio taping practitioner (CKTP) and uses manual therapy and dry needling techniques to assist with acute and chronic pain management.

 

Rashmi believes that education and prevention are the pillars of recovery and healthy living.  She helps her patients focus on staying active, understanding their bodies, and being active participants in the healing process.

 

Rashmi lives in Cary, NC with her husband and their two kids. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
